Putt Pirates Disc Golf Club

Ahoy, me hearties! Captain Patrick McCormick here, chartin’ the course of today’s grand adventure on the disc golf greens. Gather ’round and hear the tale of our latest voyage!

We were set to cast off at 9 bells, but Quartermaster Jasper Gutierrez needed extra time to drop his wee ones at school. The rest of us swashbucklers reported in at 9:20. Your captain, in need of sustenance, made a stop at Wawa for a hearty breakfast burrito to fuel the day’s plunderin’.

Upon arrival, I found Quartermaster Jasper Gutierrez and Cook Mike Mui engaging in a bit of skulduggery, practicing on hole 10 for the CTP later in the round. Cheatin’ scallywags! Once the full crew assembled, we did the ol’ “flip disc” for random doubles. The teams were set: Quartermaster Jasper Gutierrez and Master-at-Arms Ernest Huizar, Boatswain Stefanie Bonsky and Gunner Shelly Jackson, and meself, Captain Patrick McCormick, paired with Cook Mike Mui.

We set sail off the first tee, and it was clear the crew had rested their sea legs and arms, for the initial throws were rock solid. In truth, everyone played exceptionally well throughout the day. Master-at-Arms Ernest Huizar triumphed in the CTP on hole 10, with his disc landin’ a mere 10.7 meters from the tee, bestin’ your captain by a single meter. The cunning dog!

Our journey was marked by sightings of many a turtle, birdies, bogies, and a fair share of pars. The round came to a dramatic close with your captain sinking a 36-foot putt, a fitting end to a fine day on the course.

The weather was a fair 70ish degrees with a pleasant breeze, though I must confess, wearing long pants was a misjudgment on my part. Cook Mike Mui wins the prize for best leggings, hands down.
