Interview: Captain McCormick and Quartermaster Gutierrez

Captain McCormick: Ahoy there, Quartermaster! First off, congratulations on that ace! Walk us through the moment ye knew this shot was special.

Jasper Gutierrez: Thanks, Captain! It was one o’ those moments where everythin’ just lined up perfectly. I pulled out me trusty Innova Beast, which be one o’ me favorites fer good reason. I can throw it flat and get decent distance with a reliable finish.

Captain McCormick: I’ve seen ye work magic with that Beast before, but this was somethin’ else. How did ye decide on that mid hyzer shot?

Jasper Gutierrez: Hole 14 be a tough one with those guardian trees. Usually, folks try to sneak through the back door gap, but I decided to go fer the front door this time. I aimed fer a mid hyzer line, hopin’ to thread it through the trees.

Captain McCormick: And thread it ye did! That disc seemed like it had a mind of its own. Did ye think it had a chance of goin’ in?

Jasper Gutierrez: Honestly, I just hoped it would miss the tree roots and skip nicely. When it hit the ground and started skippin’, me heart was in me throat. And then… BAM! Right into the chains. I couldn’t believe it!

Captain McCormick: It was like watchin’ a myth in the makin’. Any words o’ wisdom for yer fellow Putt Pirates aspirin’ to get their own aces?

Jasper Gutierrez: Practice and patience, mates. And always trust yer disc. Sometimes, the front door be the way to go. And a little luck never hurts either!

Captain McCormick: Sage advice, Quartermaster. Congratulations again on yer amazin’ ace. May the wind always be at yer back and the chains always friendly!

Jasper Gutierrez: Thanks, Captain! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds. Arrr!
