About the Putt Pirates šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

Ahoy, ye landlubbers and seasoned sea dogs alike! Gather ’round and hear the tale of the Putt Pirates, a league… nay, a brotherhood… nay, a pirate crew of disc golf enthusiasts! This merry band was conjured from the mind of Patrick McCormick, the swashbuckling author of those Zen Disc Golf books. Don’t hold that against him—he’s a vision pirate with a heart full of adventure.

The Putt Pirates set sail with a simple mission: to unite a group of men and women already roaming the fairways. McCormick, always scheming for the next great voyage, reached out to Brosam and Gutierrez—two steadfast deckhands of the disc golf world. The initial plan was to set a regular course for play and explore more local terrain.

Word of the crew spread quickly among those most often spotted on the greens. Surveys were taken, ideas were plundered, and thus the Putt Pirates were christened. The club evolved, adding accountability and prizes to keep everyone aboard and active. To fund these treasures, memberships and bag tags were forged in the fires of creativity. And of course, no pirate crew is complete without its own merchandise!

Now, the Putt Pirates seek to expand their ranks. Membership is by invite only, but fear not! Ye don’t need to be a member to join our voyages. Only members can claim the prizes and have their achievements logged in the captain’s log. We invite ye to join our ranks, but heed this warning: be a decent human being, or ye’ll find yerself walking the plank!

So hoist yer sails, sharpen yer aim, and join the Putt Pirates on this grand disc golf adventure! Arrr!
