DOUBLES PLAY

🔄 Automatic Random Doubles Rounds

In the event that more than five players arrive to participate in a league round, the game format will switch to doubles (best disc). This ensures that everyone gets to play without having excessively large groups.

Even Number of Players

If an even number of players over five arrive, teams will be formed randomly (via deck of cards).
Each team will consist of two players.

Odd Number of Players over Five

If an odd number of players over five arrive, while the rest form doubles teams, the odd player out will play using the “best disc” format.

In this format, the player will throw two discs per hole and play from the best lie, simulating a doubles play experience.

This format allows for flexibility and ensures that all participants have an engaging and competitive experience, regardless of the number of players who show up.

Bag Tags After Doubles Round

Bag tags are still distributed by performance.

Example:

Team A scores -4 (Receives tags #1 and #3)
Team B scores -2 (Receives tags #5 and #7)
Team C scores higher (Retains tags #10 and #12)
Deciding Who Gets Which Tag:

Teams discuss who gets the lower number tag. Options include a buyout or a competitive decider like a putt-off or long drive competition.
